Gestern Nacht hat es mich voll erwischt. Bisher ist es mir in der Regel gelungen, Gefühle von Angst wahrzunehmen, sie zu beobachten, ihnen aber wenig Platz einzuräumen. Ich verbringe zu meinem Schutz deutlich weniger Zeit auf Social Media, informiere mich dennoch gründlich. Persönliche Kontakte vermeide ich. Dreimal die Woche sehe ich noch Personen, die wegen der Erkrankung zu mir kommen müssen.
Als ich die Nachricht las, dass einige Länder bereits Flüge von London her verboten hatten, hat es mich umgehauen. Einerseits macht es natürlich im ersten Moment Angst, wenn da eine Mutation auftaucht, die ansteckender ist, weil ich trotz Immunerkrankungen diesen Winter und auch den nächsten überleben will. Hab ja noch einiges vor die nächsten 25, 30 Jahre.
Viel mehr erschreckt hat mich aber die Tatsache, dass am Wochenende mindestens 10'000 Menschen aus GB in Genf gelandet waren, die in den Schweizer Bergen ihren
Skiurlaub verbringen wollen. Und das auch können, weil Geld einer Mehrheit unserer National- und Ständerät*innen und einer Mehrheit im Bundesrat wichtiger ist, als die Gesundheit der
Bevölkerung und Menschenleben. Mehr als 6 560 Menschen sind bereits gestorben *. Wieviele Angehörige trauern um diese Menschen. 404'000 bestätigte Ansteckungen. Und wieviele davon leiden Monate
später noch.
Das Personal in den Krankenhäusern steht kurz vor dem Zusammenbruch oder darüber hinaus. Verkäuferinnen und Personal in der Kehrichtabfuhr kommen an ihre Grenzen und darüber hinaus.
Und das Einkommen von Aktionären zählt immer noch mehr als Menschenleben.
Umgehauen haben mich aber auch die hämischen Kommentare von wegen hartem Brexit 11 Tage früher als gedacht und nun wisse man in GB endlich, was das bedeute. Mich
erschreckt die Gehässigkeit. Dich auch?
Übrigens: Heute ist Wintersonnenwende. Es wäre ein Grund zum Feiern.

Last night I was hit hard. So far I have usually managed to perceive feelings of fear, to observe them, but to give them little space. For my own protection, I spend significantly less time on social media, but I still get thorough information. I avoid personal contacts. Three times a week I see people who have to come to me because of the illness.
When I read the news that some countries had already banned flights from London, I was blown away. On the one hand, it is of course scary at first if a mutation emerges that is more contagious because I want to survive this winter and the next, despite immune diseases. I still have a lot ahead of the next 25 or 30 years.
What frightened me a lot more was the fact that at least 10,000 people from the UK landed in Geneva over the weekend who want to spend their skiing holidays in the Swiss mountains. And that too, because money is more important to a majority of our national and state councillors and a majority in the Federal Council than the health of the population and human lives. More than 6,560 people have already died *. How many relatives mourn these people. 404,000 confirmed infections. And how many of them are still suffering months later.
The staff in the hospitals is on the verge of collapse or beyond. The staff in sales and refuse collection reach their limits and beyond.
And the income of shareholders still counts more than lives.
But I was also blown away by the malicious comments about the hard Brexit 11 days earlier than expected and now they would finally know in the UK what that means. I am appalled by the nastiness.
